Who I am

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a patriot, and a staunch supporter of our troops. A little over five years ago, my husband Jack and I decided to send a Christmas care package from TreatAnySoldier to an anonymous trooper serving in the Middle Eastern AO (area of operations). There was a link from there to AnySoldier, so we checked it out and wound up selecting two or three contacts to support with care packages, letters, cards – anything to raise troop morale. There are many websites you can register with to get addresses of troops who don’t get much mail, and it is from such websites that we have adopted over 500 Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Sailors, Coast Guard, and National Guard troops over the past five years. I guess the term “Support Junkie” pretty much describes me. I intend to continue supporting our Warriors who are deployed in harm’s way, but with the economy as it is, I find myself having to send more letters than care packages. I hope to be able to drum up some help supporting the troops via this web page.
