Cards for our Warriors

Posted August 19th, 2009 by Ms Tracy

I create different cards to send to our Warriors, in hopes of brightening their day as much as possible. If I can bring a smile to a Soldier’s face for a moment, I consider that a successful day. I have spent the entire evening working on a card that I personalize for each Troop.  I’ve printed out 20 of them, have the envelopes addressed, and have actually written in four of them. It’s bedtime now, so I’ll pick up where I left off in the morning, and try to finish up at lunch time. This is Captain Cammack and his Crazy Horse Troops card; I’ll be writing a note in it tomorrow.

So, tell me…if you were a zillion miles from home, things were crazy all around you, and you didn’t have a lot to smile about – would this get at least a slight turning-up of the corners of your mouth, or perhaps an all-out grin – maybe even a chuckle?? I’d appreciate some feedback… ;~)

I, too, love it, Tracy; most of my adoptees either don’t have much computer or have none at all! I’m restricted to the “snail mail” thingy, which, so far, has worked well for me. Keep up the good work! J.Steve/Maddog

I do more snail mail than anything, Maddog. These are snail mail cards. I just saved one as a .jpeg file so I could post it as a photo here. All you need is a good greeting card program and you can create cards for your Warriors, too!

Tracy, I don’t know how you do it. The card is great.
